Abstract
La llamada "primavera árabe" ilusionó a muchos analistas europeos y estadounidenses, pero con el paso de los años se ha podido observar qué es lo que ha quedado de todo el cambio radical. La Unión Europea no ha sabido aprovechar la ocasión para fortalecer sus acuerdos de asociación con los países del norte de África e incrementar así su influencia. El afán de Rusia por volver a ser un actora tener en cuenta en términos globales ha encontrado en los resultados de esta "primavera" la ventana de oportunidades propicia para ganar más influencia en la región e incrementar su presencia en la zona, de forma especial llegando a acuerdos sobre venta de armas, hidrocarburos y centrales nucleares, además del fortalecimiento de los vínculos comerciales, turísticos o culturales.
