Abstract
Este trabajo no pretende agregar una faceta más a la clásica trilogía profesional de Alonso Cano pintor, escultor y arquitecto, sino interpretar su producción artística desde la perspectiva contemporánea del diseñador, lo que contribuye a comprender su polémica obra arquitectónica, conectarla con su actividad en los campos afines de la retablística y la decoración, y subrayar, desde este enfoque, la importancia de sus dibujos arquitectónicos. Una perspectiva que además da sentido a otros aspectos puntuales como su logotipo personal y las incursiones en el ámbito del grabado, pudiendo, incluso, arrojar luz sobre su aptitud ante la escultura y la pintura.
