Abstract
Tomando o grupo Tá na Rua como objeto de pesquisa e entrecruzando espetáculo teatral Dar não dói, o que dói é resistir com entrevistas, anotações em diários, reflexões escritas dos integrantes do grupo, além de fotografias e filmagens do espetáculo em questão, todos em diálogo com os pesquisadores que propõem investigar as culturas populares no âmbito historiográfico, procuro, neste artigo, perceber como um conjunto de elementos populares contribui para a criação de sua linguagem teatral. Por meio de questionamentos como: o que os integrantes do grupo denominam como teatro popular? Cultura popular? Público popular? Em seu fazer teatral, o grupo realiza apropriações e ressignificações de outras práticas culturais? De que modo o Tá na Rua realiza isso?, acredito ser possível indicar caminhos para se pensar o teatro do Tá na Rua como um prática popular urbana no século XXI.
