Abstract
The diet of Leptodactylus latrans is described based on the stomach contents of 37 specimens from the Caçapava do Sul municipality, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The individuals were sampled between January 2007 and February 2008. The diet was composed of 17 types of prey, and Coleoptera (55%) and Araneae (22.5%) were the most frequent items. Volumetrically, the most important items were Crustacea, Decapoda (15.68%), and Amphibia (13.75%).
