Abstract
Este artigo discute as medidas deprevenção contempladas na Lei n. 8.069/90 –Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente – e previstaspioneiramente na Convenção Internacional sobreos Direitos da Criança, de 1989, e a atuaçãoestatal na regulamentação do acesso dessessujeitos à cultura, informação e entretenimentoproduzidos pelos meios de comunicação social.Coteja benefícios e riscos da veiculação deinformação e programação, que podem se mostrarinadequadas à faixa etária, o que se agrava nocontexto da sociedade informacional, pois, seoutrora a preocupação centrava-se na excessiva exposição à televisão, atualmente esses nativos digitais acessam os mais variados materiais,muitos deles impróprios à idade e prejudiciais aoseu pleno desenvolvimento, o que coloca novasinterrogantes ao sistema de proteção integral. This paper discusses the preventionmeasures contemplated by the Law n. 8.069/90– Statute of the child and adolescent – andprovided in a pioneer way in the InternationalConvention on the Rights of the Child, in 1989and the action of the state regulating the accessof these individuals to culture, information andentertainment produced by the media. It comparesbenefits and risks of broadcasting informationand programs which may be unsuitable tothis age, a concern that becomes more seriousregarding the informational society, since in thepast the concern was in the excessive exposition to television, nowadays these digital natives haveaccess to a series of diverse materials, manyof them inadequate to their age and harmful totheir complete development, which raises newinquiries to the full protection system.
