Abstract
EMIGRAÇÃO: FENÔMENO ECONÔMICO DIVERGENTE.
Poucas questões, econômicas apresentam tão grande divergência de opiniões como o fenômeno da emigração. Alguns sustentam a tese de que é um bem porque alivia a pressão demográfica das áreas tensamente povoadas, desenvolvendo, ao mesmo tempo, o comércio e estimulando o ramo produtivo. Outros, porém, são de parecer contrário, pois a consideram como uma perda, por parte da população, dos elementos mais ativos e dotados de maior espírito de iniciativa.
