Abstract
El pasado 24 de abril, el pleno de la mexicana Cámara de Diputados aprobó el dictamen de la Ley Federal de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública, igualmente lo hizo el Senado de la República seis días después, y llegó a final feliz el proceso legislativo al promulgarla el presidente Vicente Fox; éste es en sí un acto de gran trascendencia para los medios de comunicación, la sociedad civil, la democracia y en general la vida política del país, cuyo contenido, alcance y delimitación es necesario advertir.
