Abstract

The concept of intellectual capital has in it complexities that are inherent, but are used in profusion. Knowing the nature and composition of intellectual capital is important to devise successful strategies for knowledge management. In many theoretical discourses on this topic is the use of social capital or human capital as if they were isolated categories are often confused and even used to define similar content. Human capital alone does not solve the problem, it is proven that knowing and not knowing can cohabit without that determine the exclusion of this. The rivers exist because they have beds and the generated knowledge becomes relevant when developing. The concept defines intellectual capital as the dialectical unity between human capital, social or relational capital and structural capital.
