Abstract
MODERN TECHNOLOGIES FOR ORCHARD PROTECTION AGAINST FREEZING
Orchards protection against freezing during the cold season is an important objective of farmers situated in the temperate continental regions. In this direction one solution could be tower ventilating system developed by the TANESINI Company. The system is using the thermo inversion phenomena ventilating the warmer air to the trees area. So, each ventilating tower (12 m height) could cover a surface of 3,2...3,5 ha. The power request by the system is about 90 … 136 HP.
The proposed system has a high efficiency in the Transylvanian conditions.
