Abstract
´En este artículo, se analiza la relación entre gobernabilidad, transparencia y reconstrucción del Estado a la luz de las transformaciones democráticas que viven las sociedades contemporáneas. El trabajo destaca el vínculo entre gobernanza y transparencia con el fin de puntualizar el comportamiento que tienen los cuerpos burocráticos ante las condiciones propias de la democracia. Se incluye, además, una sección en la cual se reflexiona sobre la transparencia en el caso de México tomando en cuenta su inserción en una democracia más plena.
