Abstract

O jornalismo alternativo está presente desde os primórdios do que se entende como jornalismo, observando mais atentamente o contexto brasileiro.  Atualmente, há um crescimento significativo de iniciativas de jornalismo alternativo. Com o objetivo de contribuir para o debate a respeito do jornalismo atual, apresentamos um estudo que procura fundamentar o que pode ser entendido como jornalismo alternativo, considerando sua gênese conceitual e os fatores que favorecem sua difusão atualmente. Nesse sentido, trata-se de uma proposta metodológica cuja intenção é orientar a percepção sobre o que são essas iniciativas e o que representam.
