Abstract
Islamic fundamentalism is a social phenomenon in many countries as a result of the swift currents of modernization, and dissatisfaction with the social values which considered to have deviated from the teachings of Islam. Islamic fundamentalism is only a kind of a new global phenomenon in the world politics. The issue in each case is a political ideology, not a religion which is cynically associated with ideology. Fundamentalism is an ideology symptom about the clash of civilizations. Fundamentalism causes problems include political field against democracy and social field creates chaos without looking at the social aspects about the clash of civilizations people sovereignty. Until this fundamentalism forms a fundamental idea of nationalism-fundamental in which there are a country uses "the concept of Islamic state", and others use "the concept of Islamic society order". In the concept of Islamic state, politics and religion are the parts of an Islamic totality. While the concept of Islamic society order, politics is only a sideline disclosure of the spirit of Islam.
