Abstract
A partir del año 2001, la crisis socio-política y económica argentina y su posterior recuperación se vieron reflejadas por el arte en las calles de Buenos Aires. Las imágenes propuestas por el arte callejero impusieron una ruptura con la cultura neo-liberal mediante la fractura del signo: en una primera instancia, inundando los muros en son de denuncia con grafitis, pintadas y esténciles, y en una segunda instancia, asumiendo, mediante enormes murales, una alternativa estética a la capitalización de la ciudad manifiesta en la publicidad y los medios masivos de comunicación. El arte callejero argentino es concebido como una revolución.
