Abstract
The article discuss the celebration of the Republica Juliana’s hundredth anniversary in Laguna in 1939. The commemorations added new colors to the Anita Garibaldi’s image. Interventions happened linking the Getúlio Vargas government to the heroes from Laguna that have foght in the Farroupilha Revolution.
