Abstract
Nuestra experiencia es capaz de modificar el modo en que percibimos. Este tipo de aprendizaje perceptual nos indica la importancia del observador en la construcción de la percepción. En este artículo se examinan evidencias neurofisiológicas recientes que demuestran la presencia, no sólo de procesos perceptuales, sino también atencionales y de actualización de contexto, en el modo en que nuestra percepción visual cambia con la experiencia. Considerar la experiencia sensorial, junto con el estado actual del observador, ayudará a completar los modelos actuales, que son insuficientes para explicar la visión en condiciones naturales.
