Abstract
In June 1333, King Alfonso XI of Castille sorrounded Gibraltar He pitchied one of his camps in ttie isthmus, and soon tfie muslims of Granada and Algeciras raised a blockade against the castillians, in the sand bank between Sierra Carbonera and ttie Peñón, not delaying tfieir attack to the Christian site. For that reason, the King ordered to dig a ditch from coast to coast, brough up the rear and waited for next events. The chronicles are abundant in details about the Gibraltar siege in 1333, but they dont give details about the subjects we deal with in this work.
