Abstract
This study was intended to investigate whether student's achievement can be improved by using map and globe in sosial studies. An experimental design was applied in this study. The subjects were randomly selected from the 4-th graders of an elementary school in Padang Municipality. The data were then analyzed by t-test. The results indicated that the learning achievement of the subjects taught with map and globe was better than those without map and globe
