Abstract
Lo scenario normativo internazionale conferma il diritto di accesso alla cultura quale risorsa per la produzione di benefici, non tanto economici, ma di sviluppo sociale: in tal senso, il patrimonio “contiene” interessi e valori che determinano una responsabilità collettiva di conservazione. Nonostante partecipazione e coinvolgimento siano condizioni imprescindibili, tali valori restano solo potenziali perché non pienamente percepiti. Attraverso l’illustrazione dell’esperienza in corso sull’Isola Comacina, il contributo propone di considerare i contenuti del restauro come letture alternative per una comunicazione capace di ricostruire un rapporto tra persone e cose perché, a cavaliere tra scienze umanistiche e scienze esatte, si indaga la vita dei luoghi scoprendo la consistenza fisica degli oggetti e la conseguente continua esigenza di cura, che rimandano ad esperienze quotidiane capaci di descrivere profondamente la dimensione vitale del patrimonio culturale. The international regulatory framework confirms the right of access to culture as a resource for the production of benefits, not just economic, but linked to social development: in this sense, heritage “contains” interests and values that determine a collective responsibility in conservation. Although participation and involvement are essential conditions, these values remain only potential because not fully perceived. Through the description of the on-going experience on the Isola Comacina, the contribution proposes to consider contents of restoration as possible alternative interpretations for a communication able to rebuild a relationship between people and things because, working astride between humanities and sciences, it investigates the life of places discovering the physical aspect of objects and the need for continuing care, which refer to everyday experiences, and deeply describing the vital dimension of cultural heritage.
