Cross-Border Region under Glocalization: Theoretical-Conceptual Approaches

The article presents an interdisci plinary analysis of the conceptual-theoretical approaches to the development problems of a cross-border region, whose role as an integration zone increases in the globalization period. The authors draw a conclusion about the necessity for new theoretical grounds for elaborating Russian cross-border areas’ regional policy which would conform to the development conditions of glocal economy
