Abstract
As macrófitas aquáticas contribuem para a manutenção dos rios e lagos amazônicos por meio de diversas interações ecológicas. Este estudo teve como objetivo conhecer a composição florística e os aspectos ecológicos das comunidades de macrófitas aquáticas ocorrentes em lagos de Roraima, Brasil. A pesquisa foi realizada nos muncípios de Boa Vista e Alto Alegre (RR) durante o período chuvoso e seco. Para análise da composição florística, os espécimes foram coletados e identificados no Museu Paranese Emílio Goeldi. A análise ecológica abrangeu a zonação horizontal, a forma biológica e a densidade relativa. Foram registradas 24 espécies, distribuídas em 17 famílias e 19 gêneros com Cyperaceae (5) e Onagraceae (4) mais representativas em número de espécies. 17 espécies ocorreram simultâneamente no período chuvoso e seco, 3 espécies somente no chuvoso e 4 espécies no seco. As formas biológicas emergentes e anfíbias foram comuns para as espécies ocasionais e abundantes, principalmente na Zona Periférica.
