Abstract
Dominique Maingueneau, em alguns de seus trabalhos, define dois regimes de enunciação distintos: o textualizante e o aforizante. O regime de enunciação aforizante "destextualiza" o texto, por se caracterizar como um processo que tenta minar a compacidade e a dinâmica de textualização. Com base nesse conceito - e levando-o às últimas consequências -, o intuito deste artigo é analisar um conjunto de manifestos modernistas brasileiros a fim de demonstrar a plausibilidade da hipótese de que esse gênero do discurso pode ser considerado um gênero aforizante, na medida em que se vale, recorrentemente e de maneira abundante, de aforizações.
