Abstract
Natural infections of Phlebotominae sandflies Pintomyia pessoai and Psychocopygus intermedius in a sylvatic enzootic focus of cutaneous leishmaniasis in S. Paulo State, Brazil, are reported. For both species confirmation was obtained by experimental inoculation in hamsters.
