Abstract
Tendo como ponto de partida a análise de alguns dos últimos e mais importantes escritos de Lévinas, pretende-se agora mostrar de que maneira a sua categórica exclusão do discurso teológico é uma exclusão problemática, e não em virtude de elementos alheios à sua própria reflexão, mas por força da mesma. Num primeiro momento expor-se-á como e por que Lévinas opõe à teologia, ou ao discurso sobre Deus, aquilo que ele denominará o "testemunho" de Deus na linguagem profética.
