Abstract
A evolução histórica do homem permitiu que houvesse, também, a consagração e o reconhecimento de direitos fundamentais, entre eles os direitos civis, políticos, econômicos, os quais se completam para consagrar o princípio da dignidade humana. Assim, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar, inicialmente, o progresso dos direitos humanos, perpassando pela análise do direito à moradia e finalizar com uma apreciação acerca do planejamento urbano e de como ele é capaz de contribuir para a ocorrência do fenômeno da segregação social.
