Abstract
This paper studies the cultural reasons why a new generation of writers in Spain decides to look into a past which, because of biological reasons, they never lived. According to my hypothesis, this interest stems from the assumption of a vacuum of causes and from the need for a historical identification. Therefore, the self will define his own identity by linking the discourses that the past offers to him
