Abstract
The title compound, C8H12N4O2, crystallized with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The bonds lengths of the enamine moiety show strong conjugation in the N—C=C system. In the crystal, the two independent molecules are linked by C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming zigzag chains along [10-1]. The chains are linked by further C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the ac plane.
