Abstract
The effect of polyacrylamide (PAM) as a template on the synthesis of hydroxyapatite (HAP) was studied. HAP was synthesized by chemical precipitation and template method. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and IR spectroscopy (FTIR). The dispersity of HAP can be improved after adding PAM during the synthesis process. And the particle size of HAP can be controlled by changing the concentration of PAM. This work provides a synthetic route for easily obtaining porous HAP with different particle sizes.
