Abstract
The Museo Nazionale delle Marche in Ancona, during the Fascism, managed to reach an extraordinary importance, both in the institutional and in the museological debate, thanks to the relentless work carried out by the director Giuseppe Moretti, who moved the collections in a new venue. For this reason in the article the celebrating speeches of the inauguration day, which took place in 1927, the positive assessments made by Francesco Sapori, Inspector of Fine Arts in Rome, but also the criticisms to the new museum exhibition made by Luigi Serra, Superintendent of monuments in Ancona, were reported.
