Índice• Desarrollo • Bibliografía Resumen La cultura rapanui se caracterizó por una fuerte relación con los ancestros y con los orígenes, privilegiando la presencia de los antepasados y de las relaciones cósmicas, siendo el mar y el cielo los medios que los conectan con la vida y con el futuro. El territorio fue el escenario donde se implantaron ideas y conceptos, que se materializaron a través de construcciones que, asumiendo las variables medio ambientales, promovieron una forma de habitar respetuosa e inspirada en el entorno y fiel a las creencias. En todas las intervenciones se observa una dualidad en que subsisten las intenciones privadas y las de toda la comunidad, con un modelo que reparte entre los clanes toda la superficie de la Isla, manteniendo una red de comunicación que atraviesa los dominios privados, conectando toda la población con las áreas importantes y únicas; tanto desde la perspectiva ceremonial, como de la obtención de recursos. El modelo de asentamiento se desarrolla en todo el territorio, adaptándose a la topografía, incluye área ceremonial, de habitación, de cultivo y de almacenamiento. Abstract Rapanui culture was characterized by a strong relationship with the ancestors and the origins, favoring the presence of the ancestors and the cosmic relations, with the sea and the sky means that connect with life and the future. The territory was the scene where ideas and concepts were introduced, which materialized through buildings, taking environmental variables, promoted a respectful way of living and inspired by the environment and faithful to the beliefs. In all interventions, there is a duality in remaining private and intentions of the whole community, with a model that divided between clans entire surface of the island, maintaining a communication network through private domains, connecting all population with important and unique areas, both from the perspective ceremonial, as the fund-raising. The settlement pattern is carried out throughout the territory, adapting to the topography, including ceremonial area, housing, culture and storage.
