Abstract
En los últimos años ‘transatlántico’ se ha ido convirtiendo en uno de los términos más utilizados en los departamentos de lengua, literatura y cultura hispana en los Estados Unidos. Su presencia se ha hecho notar también en España en revistas literarias y títulos de congresos. Sin embargo, a pesar de las conferencias o los puestos vacantes que aparecen marcados por el adjetivo trans-oceánico hay una marcada falta de elaboración teórica o incluso de consenso sobre lo que el concepto de transatlántico puede significar. A ese presupuesto nos dedicaremos en el siguiente artículo.
