Abstract
Frankfurt School was the embryo of a group of European theorists who dedicated themselves to develop a critical theory of society. Walter Benjamin’s and Theodor Adorno’s intellectual work were the basis to verify the legacy of the Frankfurt School nowadays in the beginning of the XXI century. This paper also intends to understand how the concepts of cultural industry and the critical theory can be read from the confrontation of ideas of some of their critics, using the literature review as a method.
