desigualdade social, modernidade periférica e reconhecimento: a teoria social pós-crítica e o programa projovem

This paper analyzes the ProJovem discourse from its political-pedagogical project. Its goal is to develop youth involvement through education, orientation to the employment orientation and development of community actions. From the standpoint of theoretical and methodological work this study is located, in the wake of recent social theory, in the developments of the social recognition category, whose use is associated to the postcritical theory by Charles Taylor, Nancy Fraser, and Axel Honneth. This approach allows the configuration of a useful tool in understanding the discursive formation of public policy, particularly ProJovem, whose goal highlights on the one hand, symbolic recognition by emphasizing the role of youth and the equal participation of the community, and on the other hand, in recognition distributive, through education and work initiation.
