In this paper, we make a rescue ofthe concepts and history to sportsjournalism, second, to propose a reflectionon the journalistic practicesin the world of sport. The vision thatguides this paper is that the sportsjournalism no longer fits within itsown parameters of traditional concepts,techniques and vision of theobject of news coverage. The scenariowe describe is motivated by thecomplex web where the sports journalismfalls within the relationshipbetween sport and communication,mediated by the spectacle and entertainment. Further underlinesthis complexity the fact that imposesa new challenge to all of Braziliansociety and journalism in particularwith the achievement of sportingmega events in Brazil, the main goalsof the World Cup Soccer 2014 andthe Olympic Games 2016.
