Abstract
<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: PT-BR; mso-fareast-language: PT-BR; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Resumo: A Teoria das Representações Sociais se mostra, claramente, como uma vertente sociológica da Psicologia Social. O pensador Durkheim, com o conceito de “representação coletiva”, influenciou, de maneira acentuada, os estudos modernos sobre as representações. Serge Moscovici, debruçando-se sobre a questão das representações, denomina-as de “sociais”, cunhando o termo “representações sociais”. Essa conceituação se deve à necessidade prática e teórica de destacar a importância de determinados elementos na conformação das representações nas complexas sociedades modernas: comunicação, acelerada dinâmica social e heterogeneidade. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span>
