Abstract

Penggunaan obat modem sebagai pencegah kehamilan sudah dikenal sampai ke pelosok desa, apalagi dengan adanya penyuluhan oleh pemerintah melalui petugas KB.   Namun demikian, penggunaan obat tradisional dalam bentuk tunggal  tanaman obat maupun jamu masih digunakan secara turun temurun. Jamu terlambat bulan yang diproduksi oleh pabrik digunakan untuk membantu segera terjadinya haid yang terlambat. Hal ini dapat disalahgunakan disengaja atau tidak, untuk wanita yang terlambat haid tetapi tidak menginginkannya. Bila tetap terjadi kehamilan dapat saja janin yang lahir akan mengalami kelainan (cacat).
