Abstract
The book La “libraria” settecentesca di San Francesco del Monte a Perugia. Non oculis mentibus esca, edited by Fiammetta Sabba, with collaboration of Maria Paola Barlozzini (Perugia, Fabrizio Fabbri, 2015) is the occasion to reflect on the sources for religious orders library history – starting from the Congregation of the Index inquiry (1600) – and on their valuable contribution for the intellectual history of the same orders.
