Abstract
Resumo Este ensaio aborda o panorama da ocorrência de acidentes de trabalho no Brasil a partir da análise de notícias recentes veiculadas na imprensa. Os conteúdos mostram a persistência dos problemas ao longo das três últimas décadas de crise do capitalismo global. Discutem-se as relações desse panorama com os entraves e desafios das proposições, ações e políticas do campo da Saúde do Trabalhador. Conclui-se pela ausência interinstitucional e fragilidade do movimento sindical na busca da superação desses impasses.
