Abstract
When to know is to personify: education and perspectivism in Santo Daime
Resumo
O presente artigo resulta de uma pesquisa sobre os processos educativos no Santo Daime. Metodologicamente utilizou-se, além de pesquisa bibliográfica, de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com seis sujeitos que frequentam ou frequentaram o Santo Daime. O objetivo que pautou a análise foi compreender como a categoria do perspectivismo se manifesta nas narrativas dos entrevistados e como contribui para a compreensão dos fenômenos educativos ocorridos no Santo Daime. Os resultados indicam que o perspectivismo apareceu nas falas dos entrevistados especialmente quando se referem às plantas professoras, às entidades e aos espíritos da natureza. O perspectivismo é uma categoria que se refere aos modos de conhecer/aprender dos povos ameríndios. Sua presença nas narrativas demonstrou proximidades entre os processos educativos do Santo Daime e as sabedorias xamânicas.

Abstract
This article is the result of a research on educational processes in Santo Daime. Methodologically, in addition to bibliographic research, semi-structured interviews with six subjects who attended or attended Santo Daime were used. The objective that guided the analysis was to understand how the category of perspectivism manifests itself in the narratives of the interviewees and how it contributes to the understanding of the educational phenomena that occurred in Santo Daime. The results indicate that perspectivism appeared in the interviewees' statements especially when referring to the teaching plants, entities and spirits of nature. Perspectivism is a category that refers to the ways of knowing/learning of the Amerindian peoples. His presence in the narratives indicated close ness between the educational processes of Saint Daime and shamanic wisdoms.
