Abstract
As matas ciliares são vegetações ocorrentes às margens dos cursos d´água. Objetivou-se fazer uma análise descritiva do crescimento das espécies utilizadas na recuperação de mata ciliar às margens do rio das Almas, no município de Ceres/GO. Avaliou-se mensalmente, durante os meses de março a outubro, sobrevivência, altura, diâmetro, número de ramos e folhas. As espécies aroeira e jatobá foram consideradas as mais promissoras. O trabalho aponta para a necessidade de estudos direcionados para cada local de plantio. Ressalta ainda a importância de cuidados anteriores ao plantio e de manejo para otimizar os resultados de reflorestamento.
