Abstract
El sistema agroproductivo se determina por sus características culturales, socioeconómicas y políticas. La agroecología se basa en la experiencia campesina sobre la dimensión ecológica, al
analizar la apropiación del agroecosistema y sus formas de manejo, sabiduría, sustentabilidad y significados prácticos.
Aunque hoy se reconoce que el campesino posee amplios conocimientos sobre entomología, botánica, suelos, agronomía, estos deben aunarse con tecnologías y prácticas agrícolas sustentables al entorno natural y social. El desarrollo convencional ignora y excluye deliberadamente el conocimiento tradicional campesino.
