Abstract
Se sistematiza la experiencia de la Universidad de Guantánamo (UG) como interfase innovadora e integrada al desarrollo local, se argumenta la necesidad de fortalecer el empoderamiento ciudadano en la toma de decisiones ante los complejos retos actuales para la solución creativa de problemas, y se proponen acciones en el tratamiento de la innovación social, vinculadas con las líneas de investigación universitaria.
