Abstract
Resumo OBJETIVO: descrever o conhecimento, a atitude e a prática de vacinadores sobre a vacinação infantil. MÉTODOS: estudo descritivo, censitário, realizado em 2015, com vacinadores das salas de vacina da zona urbana de Teresina, Piauí, Brasil; os dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário. RESULTADOS: foram entrevistados 70 vacinadores; a maioria das respostas relacionadas ao conhecimento e a atitude referentes à vacinação infantil foram inadequadas (n=58 e n=39, respectivamente), ao contrário da prática, que apresentou 43 respostas adequadas; não houve associação estatisticamente significativa entre a variável do conhecimento e as variáveis relacionadas à atitude e à prática. CONCLUSÃO: observou-se predominância de respostas inadequadas quanto ao conhecimento e atitude, e adequadas quanto à prática.
