No presente trabalho, é apresentado Heterothalamulopsis, gênero novo da subtribo Baccharinae Lessing, tendo por basiônimo Heterothalamus wagenitzii F. H. Hellwig. O gênero é descrito e ilustrado. Segue uma chave para a separação dos gêneros brasileiros da subtribo.
