Abstract
Proust ha spesso ribadito la sostanziale incompatibilità tra la conversazione mondana e il tempio silenzioso della scrittura letteraria. Tuttavia, più egli si chiude nelle sua stanza foderata di sughero per dare vita alla sua fuga dalla materia transeunte dell’oralità, più quest’ultima tende a emergere nella sua scrittura declinandosi non tanto come voce, bensì in quanto accento. Con la nostra comunicazione intendiamo illustrare questo paradosso esaminando il confronto tra il narratore e la voce di Bergotte.
