Abstract
Kaizen cannot deal with all problems and one size does not fit all but a flexibleimplementation opens up the dimension of collaboration between the workforce, themanagement and the technical departments. In every company, it operates in a differentway to suit the circumstances but all consider it indispensable. It is more flexible andtolerant than may be expected; it is a tool for integration of technological strategy with thebusiness strategy of the organization. Technology is forcing organizations to become morecompetitive as at every instance innovations take place. Recent innovations in the form oftotal quality management, reengineering work process, flexible manufacturing system haveonly one thing in common - well serving the customer by improved operational efficiency.For instant Quality Management advocates emphasize the importance of achieving higherquality and flexibility at lower level of cost and waste.
لا تستطيع منهجية "كايزن" معالجة جميع المشكلات، كما لا يوجد نموذج واحد يلائم الجميع، غير أن التطبيق المرن يفتح آفاقاً رحبة للتعاون بين القوى العاملة والإدارة والأقسام الفنية. وتعمل هذه المنهجية في كل شركة بأسلوب مختلف بما يتناسب مع ظروفها، بيد أن الجميع يعتبرونها عنصراً لا غنى عنه. كما أنها تتسم بمرونة وقدرة على الاستيعاب تفوق ما هو متوقع؛ إذ تمثل أداة لمكاملة الاستراتيجية التكنولوجية مع استراتيجية الأعمال في المنظمة. وتجبر التكنولوجيا المنظمات على تعزيز قدرتها التنافسية في ظل توالي الابتكارات باستمرار؛ ولا يجمع بين الابتكارات الحديثة—المتمثلة في إدارة الجودة الشاملة، وإعادة هندسة العمليات، ونظم التصنيع المرنة—سوى قاسم مشترك واحد، ألا وهو خدمة العميل على الوجه الأمثل عبر تحسين الكفاءة التشغيلية. فعلى سبيل المثال، يشدد رواد إدارة الجودة على أهمية تحقيق مستويات أعلى من الجودة والمرونة بأدنى قدر من التكلفة والهدر.
