Abstract
A união dos fracos talvez seja a melhor estratégia para enfrentar, de um lado, o mêdo e a desesperança dos doentes que cotidianamente buscam o cuidado que precisam; do outro lado,o espanto e vergonha com que muitos dos seus cuidadores percebem suas debilidades para fazer prevalecer, nas organizações de saúde onde atuam, um mínimo de solidariedade social que aproxime as necessidades de uns e de outros. À barbárie e desestruturação alcançada pelo nosso Sistema de Saúde impõem-se um desafio onde audácia e sabedoria serão os requisitos para nos aproximarmos, no conhecimento e nas medidas reparadoras, dos elementos de uma equação onde doentes e seus cuidadores possam introduzir um equilíbrio onde qualificação e responsabilidade pelo cuidado, sejam elementos predominantes nas organizações de saúde.Esta é uma discussão aberta, trazendo a contribuição de diferentes disciplinas e, longe de ser propositiva, pretende estabelecer uma profunda reflexão entre os diretamente interessados em preencher vazios teóricos e práticos que possam ampliar uma economia favorável à "boa prática", entre o uso dos recursos e as necessidades das pessoas, no que se refere às demandas de saúde/doença.
The union of the weak may be the strategy to face, on the one hand, the fear and hopelessness of the ill who daily seek for the care they need.lt may on the other hand be the form of facing the amazement and the shame with which many of the care providers recognize their debilities to make prevail a minimum of social solidarity in their health services so that the needs of both groups come together.The level of barbarism and structure disruption found today in our Health System poses a challenge demanding courage and wisdom to redefine the elements of an equation where the sick and the caretakers can achieve a balance in which qualification and responsability in the care predominate. This is an open discussion, with the contribution of different disciplines that rather than being propositional intends to establish a deep reflection among those interested in bridging the theoretical and practical gaps in order to stimulate the good use of the resources to meet the demands of the health/sisease process.
