Abstract
The Deutsche Bahn has compiled guidelines for a sustainable vegetation management which follows the Directive 2009/128/EC. This integrated management includes tools like preventive measures, ensuring of the necessary level and check of success of applied plant protection measure. In detail, practical guidance for all constructions and areas are given where different legal regulations and requirements have to be implemented. The specific guidelines are available for unpaved surfaces, hard surfaces and railway tracks.
