Abstract
This study is aimed to investigate students’ difficulties in learning wave based on research literatures. They consist of eleven international and two national research articles. The study has identified students’ difficulties in understanding mechanical wave, such as wave propagation, superposition, wave characteristic, refraction, and sound. Regarding the difficulties revealed in the literature study, it is suggested to employ alternative ways of teaching by modelling. Kajian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji kesulitan-kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari materi gelombang berdasarkan literatur hasil penelitian. Literatur tersebut antara lain sebelas internasional dan dua nasional artikel penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, kesulitan siswa yang teridentifikasi dalam memahami materi gelombang mekanik antara lain perambatan gelombang, superposisi, karakteristik gelombang, refraksi dan gelombang bunyi. Berdasarkan kesulitan yang ditemukan dalam kajian literatur dianjurkan alternatif pembelajaran pemodelan.
