Abstract
Resumo O trabalho foi desenvolvido no sentido de verificar os recursos disponibilizados ao esporte olímpico, assim como destacar as instituições contempladas. Esses dados subsidiaram a discussão da estratégia adotada pelo governo no que diz respeito ao esporte de alto rendimento no ciclo de 2009 a 2012. A análise foi quantitativo-qualitativa de cunho documental. Os dados foram coletados nas fontes: Siconv, Portal da Transparência e site Contas Abertas. Os resultados demonstram um volumoso recurso para o esporte nacional, se comparado com momentos anteriores, embora dispersos e localizados em poucas modalidades. Mesmo assim, as probabilidades para o ciclo Rio 2016 pretendem continuar a dar prioridade a alguns privilegiados, conforme proposta do Programa Time Brasil.
