Abstract
Včera skončila v brazilském Rio de Janeiru historicky největší konference OSN. Toto setkání představitelů celkem 194 států světa je plně věnováno problematice udržitelného rozvoje. Uskutečnilo se skoro na den přesně po 20 letech od Summitu Země, který byl jedním z prvních velkých mezníků v jednáních o naší společné budoucnosti. Realisticky to ovšem vypadá, že Rio není historickým bodem obratu, jak by si mnozí přáli. Mnohé naděje byly na poslední chvíli zklamány a současná podoba závěrečného dokumentu je kritizována především nevládními organizacemi, které jej překřtily na Budoucnost, kterou nechceme („The Future We Do Not Want“). Kontrast s iluzemi, které jsme do jednání tohoto typu vkládali, ilustruje historický projev Josefa Vavrouška na konferenci v Riu de Janeiro v roce 1992. České "Major Groups" připravily společný dokument adresovaný vládě České republiky.
